Commercial Excavation
Mass excavation, cut-and-fill, and bulk earthwork for commercial and industrial sites throughout the Houston metro.
Stone River Excavation serves qualifying large-scale commercial and industrial civil earthwork projects across the DFW Metroplex. DFW marks the northern boundary of our Gulf Coast and Central Texas service corridor.

We have been doing this work in Houston since 2015. No gaps, no rebrands, no ownership changes.
We use modern GPS-guided equipment through our partnership with Lone Star Layouts for precision grading that holds spec.
Commercial liability, workers compensation, and equipment coverage. All documentation available on request.
We run the equipment and crew your project needs, not a fixed crew that gets stretched across too many jobs.
Dallas–Fort Worth sits at the upper boundary of the region Stone River serves. We are Houston-based and our core market runs from the Gulf Coast through Central Texas. We extend to DFW for large commercial and industrial scopes where our owned equipment capacity, crew depth, and civil earthwork track record justify the mobilization distance.
We are not positioning as a DFW-based firm. For the right project type and scope size, we bring the same execution standards we hold in our home market to the Metroplex.
Mass excavation, cut-and-fill, and bulk earthwork for commercial and industrial sites throughout the Houston metro.
Bulk earthmoving, grading, and soil management for complex commercial and industrial sites.
Detention and retention basin construction built to HCFCD and local drainage authority standards.
Trench excavation and coordination for storm drain, water, sewer, and wet utility installation on commercial sites.
Heavy commercial land clearing for undeveloped sites. Brush, timber, stumps, and debris removed and disposed of properly.
Turnkey pad site preparation for commercial and industrial builds. We take raw land to a finished, construction-ready surface.
The Dallas side of the Metroplex sits on the eastern Blackland Prairie, a heavy concentration of high-plasticity expansive clay that is geologically distinct from Houston clay but behaviorally familiar to our crews. We know how to sequence work fronts around moisture windows and manage compaction on Blackland soils.
Site conditions on the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex become more variable. Stone River scopes DFW projects individually based on the geotechnical report and coordinates with the civil engineer on any site-specific conditions before submitting a number. We focus on the clay-dominant eastern Metroplex where our earthwork experience is most directly applicable.
Every project in our portfolio was completed on time and to grade. Browse a sample of our recent commercial and industrial work below.
Full-scope site preparation for a 14-acre industrial facility along the Grand Parkway corridor in west Houston. Scope included mass excavation, cut-and-fill earthwork, GPS-controlled finish grading, and stormwater detention integration. Delivered on schedule for general contractor handoff.
Heavy land clearing across 22 acres of mixed brush, timber, and stumps for an industrial pad site. Site cleared, debris removed, and rough grade established for GC mobilization.
Design-to-finish excavation and shaping of a 2.4-acre stormwater detention pond for a commercial development in Fort Bend County. Engineered slopes, inlet/outlet coordination, and finish grading to civil drawings.
No. Stone River is Houston-based. DFW is the northern boundary of our Gulf Coast and Central Texas service corridor. For qualifying commercial scopes in the Metroplex, we mobilize from Houston with our own equipment and crew. Mobilization is a documented line item in every proposal.
